Late 19C Pair of Satinwood Painted Decorated Armchairs. The inset turned top rails having central floral painted panels with leaf decoration to supports. Central painted panel below of birds in flight through trees. This flanked by 8 horizontal supports each shaped and with painted decoration. Another rail below again with a central panel decorated with musical instruments and ribbons with the same shaped supports. The upright side supports having painted trailing leaf decoration. The down swept arms also decorated with garlands of ribbon tied flowers with leaf painted ends sitting on ring turned supports. The cane seats on ribbon tied swags of flowers to front rail and bouquet of flowers to side rails. Both on turned tapered ring turned legs with painted leaf decorations.
