19C Victorian inlaid walnut pier display cabinet
Antique 19C Victorian inlaid burr walnut pier display cabinet bookcase.
Quite rare and unusual with lovely proportions and styling, including brass ormolu decoration.
Some great wood veneering has been used to good effect....there are even line inlays on the front edges of the shelves
There is no keyhole liner, key or lock.
There are 3 fixed shelves (bottom plus 2). The shelves are fixed to the sides with wooden supports, which are fixed by panel pins......these would be quite easy to reposition.
This piece of antique furniture would look great in the right location and is attractive and aesthetically very pleasing, with a great sense of age and charm.
Overall dimensions 765mmW x 300mmD x 1035mmH.
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, distortion, wear, imperfections, scratches, chips, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique antique furniture and generally desirable. Lined with old burgundy baize which is faded and worn.
