Antique 19C Victorian mahogany swivel desk chair.
A high quality, heavy attractive chair, with no loose joints or wobbles.
Better quality ball bearing type of rotating mechanism.
No woodworm.
Good examples of this type of chair are hard to find.
Period brass and ceramic castors with some wear, as you would expect.
Full of age, character and charm, with a generous shaped seat.
Great proportions and styling, which would look amazing in the right location.
Overall maximum dimensions
57cmW x 59mmD x 78.5cmH (~47cmH shaped seat).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture of this age. Historic repair to one arm...but all is good and solid now. The central splat may have been replaced, but we can't be sure.
