Antique 19C Victorian oak twin pedestal desk.
This is a truely lovely piece of antique furniture with nice proportions and the most fantasic age, colour and patina.
This is a rare and desirable desk, which is a pretty character piece, with great Aesthetic design influences.
The desk has no loose joints and all of the drawers slide well.
Finished back and so the desk could happily stand in the centre of a room.
Lovely patinated leather top (may or may not be original), with some wear and marks.
8 period brass and ceramic castors, with some wear as you would expect.
No significant woodworm.
This is a nice clean quality example.
Note that this is a one piece desk, which does not come apart for transport.
Overall dimensions 1225mmW x 610mmD x 765mmH (580mmH knee hole).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, distortion, wear, imperfections, scratches, chips, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture and generally desirable. No keys and the locks are consequently untested.
