This handsome and excellent quality figured mahogany pedestal desk features 4 graduating drawers on either side with a central top drawer. The desk retains its original mottled golden tan leather writing surface and the brass locks are stamped Hobbs of London. It is detailed with ebonized cock beading around the drawers and finished with ogee feet with hidden castors. The desk measures 48 in – 122 cm wide, 27 ¾ in – 70.5 cm deep and 29 ¾ in – 75.5 cm in height, with a knee hole height of 23 in – 58.4 cm. This piece would work well in a wide range of designs, both traditional and contemporary. Thomas Crabb Antiques was founded in 1979 and is run by Stephen Roy Thomas.
