19th Cent Mahogany Moon Dial Long Case Clock

A lovely quality West Country longcase clock. It is by John Roberts of Bath, Somerset, where he is listed as working from 1829 to 1842.
The case is of typical design for the region but this one is of particularly good quality. The figuring of the veneers being most attractive. It is in excellent condition and a lovely colour. It is designed to lean against a wall and as such was originally made without any back feet.
The good quality 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell. The nicely painted dial has a subsidiary seconds dial, date window and to the arch is displayed the phases of the moon. It comes complete with its original weights, pendulum and winding key.
Altogether a lovely antique clock in good working order and keeping good time.
The maximum dimensions are:
216cm (85") high, excluding finials (+ 11cm)
53cm (21") wide
26cm (10") Deep
Free local delivery and set up (60mls), national and international delivery arranged at cost.
