19th Cent Regulator Longcase Grandfather Clock %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
A superb quality 19th Cent Regulator. It dates from around 1840 and is by Seagood, London.

The case is in highly figured mahogany that is a lovely colour. To the top has a brass ball finial

The high quality regulator movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a smart silvered dial with fine steel hands and large subsidiary seconds dial. It has 5 pillars and thick shaped plates. As a regulator it has a dead beat escapement with Harrison maintaining power. The very heavy pendulum has fine beat adjustment, wooden pendulum rod and a calibrated regulating nut.

The case is in excelent unrestored condition and has retained its original finish.

The movement looks to have been recently serviced and as you would expect is keeping good time.

The maximum dimensions are:

211cm (83") high excl finial (13cm)
49cm (19.25") wide
24cm (9.5") deep

Free local delivery and set up (100mls), national and international delivery arranged at cost.
