Superb19th Century Arts and Crafts Brass Bed, 4ft 6” Double

The bed dates from around 1880, the head of the bed is decorative, it has turned brass spindles, matching similar decoration at the foot both ends have turned brass knobs and it stands on casters
The bed is very good heavy quality and is in excellent condition
The bed can be simply made for use by putting a divan base across the side rails and a mattress on top, the other alternative is a new slatted pine base to support your mattress, which we can have made to order if you wish

The bed is 59” high at the head end and 82” long overall, it takes a standard double mattress 4’6” (135cm) wide x 76”long mattress (190cm)
