19th Century Chinese rosewood plant / urn stand

This is a tall and elegant Chinese rosewood urn / plant stand carved in relief with stylised dragons and standing on 5 legs, dating from the second half of the 19th Century.
It has a rich rosewood colour.
The circular shaped top has a raised rim and is separated from the frieze by a concave shaped collar.
The frieze is carved with stylised dragons in relief with similar dragons carved on the upper part of each of the 5 legs.
The lower part of each leg has a curvilinear shape which starts with a scroll and finishes with a scroll at the feet.
The legs are joined near the base by a wheel shaped shelf, the main purpose of which is to provide stability.
This stand has plenty of room appeal and, unlike many similar stands, the carving is constrained and not over-fussy. Being made of solid rosewood it is quite heavy.
Delivery: This can be arranged to anywhere on mainland England and most of Wales for £50.
