19th Century Commercial Meat Safe meat safe pine butchers
A 19th century commercial hanging pine meat safe with an apex top. Made for William Farmer & Son, Butchers of Shropshire. The idea behind making it as a hanging store was to keep the small rodents away. Three sides have the vented mesh with the front side having a double opening door. Inside there is a middle shelf and three iron hooks above.
