Early 19th Century French Chestnut Farmhouse Table

This is good honest farmhouse table and it is an unpretentious piece is aged and naturally distressed with a superb patina
The top of the table is made from three thick planks and has cleated ends to give stability, it is in remarkably good condition for its age, with a little separation between the planks.

The table has square legs with a strong H stretcher, the table has a drawer at one end, this table would make a superb kitchen or an intimate dining table or possibly a writing table for the office in a Barn Conversion
The table is very sound and heavy, there is evidence of old wood worm, this is dead and it has a magnificent natural aged patina
The table is 55” long, 28” wide, it is 29” high and 24” under knee
