This is a delightful early 19th century portrait of a Georgian Lady finely painted in in gouache. The painting retains good clarity and has a lovely subtle colour palette and is signed to the right by the artist Bertaux. This is in its original oval gilt ormolu frame which has an egg and dart tooled border and Regency Style ribbon crest. The miniature measures 9.5 cms by 6.5 cms overall.
