or sale a lovely 19th century Imari charger / shallow dish.

The charger is just short of 12 & 1/2 inches (31.7cm) in diameter and finely painted in the Kinran-de style consisting of under glaze blue and over-glaze red, green, cobalt blue and gilt. In this particular case the painting depicts under glaze blue cherry blossom, a richly decorated exotic bird an under glaze blue floral scene and a richly gilded bamboo bower, all encompassed within a richly decorated iron red and gilt border containing further decorative panels. The underside of the charger is also finely decorated with under glaze blue Buddhist symbols.

The charger is in a very good antique condition with no chips cracks or repairs, although the surface, does show some age relates wear commensurate with its age.
