A fabulous 19th Century cast iron door stop in the form f a winged griffin on a shaped rectangular base. This mythical beast is very well cast and supports a brass mask head shield bearing the crest of the Stuart clan, Marquis of Bute. A great quality, decorative and useful item with interesting Scottish connections.
