19th Century Italian Baroque Painted Linen Press

This is a fantastic looking piece antique furniture it dates from the mid 19th century
The press was painted in Italy in the the Baroque style about 1900, as was the fashion at this time
The paint is in striking Black and Ecru with gold highlights, the press is sturdy and sound, though the paint now has a distressed finish but still a very exceptional piece

The top section of the Linen Press has 5 sliding shelves enclosed by large panelled doors, and this sits on top of a 4 drawer chest of drawers with 2 short drawers over 2 longer drawers and an elegant cornice on top
This cabinet gives not only a substantial amount of storage but has great presence, it would work well as a stand alone piece
The press can be separated for transportation
When assembled it is 81”high, 54”wide and 24”deep
