A rare 19th Century brass mounted mulberry wood campaign/travelling toilette box. This unusual box with a working lock and hinged cover, encloses a mirror, brushes and various zinc canisters. There is a compartment for letters concealed behind the mirror. the mirror is a replacement.
The rich colour and wonderfully distinctive glowing grain of the mulberry wood make this an especially beautiful box.
