A late 19th century oil painting on canvas by Frank Rawlings Offer. It is inscribed in pencil on the reverse, "Hudson River and The Palisades near New York".

F R Offer was actively painting from 1869 and influenced by the Hudson River School of Art in the USA.

The painting is mounted in a later moulded frame measuring 25" x 19" (64 cm x 38 cm)
