A very high quality 19th Century silver plated mechanical wine/port cradle standing on a scrolled and reeded base and four paw feet. The winding mechanism, with wooden handle, allows the bottle to be tilted at the correct angle for pouring, ensuring no sediment enters the glass This antique wine cradle comes with its silver plated leaf and grape decorated cork holder, this allows the cork to be replaced if not all the wine is drunk. This piece is in good condition and in full working order. This wonderful example of Victorian opulence would be a luxurious, interesting and fun addition to any dining table or drinks cabinet.
