This is an attractive hand coloured 19th century stipple engraving of a classical maiden in profile set into a gilt mount and beautifully framed in its original, tasteful deep ebonised frame. The frame bears the manufacturers stamp to the reverse H.E. Mealand of Knightsbridge and dates from around 1880. The frame measures by 16 cms by 15 cms.
