Late 19th.c. carved oak writing desk c.1880. Unusual design with five useful stationery drawers plus a wide pigeon hole over the desk and a shaped gallery around the top. The work surface slides out to allow extra leg room, plus a further five drawers below. Superb carved front and sides with Renaissance style grotesque masks and leaf pattern. Panelled and polished on the rear. Raised on fine twist carved legs and stretchers with a large turned finial at the centre. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
