19thC Hepplewhite Mahogany Single Antique Chair
This is a mid 19th century Mahogany single chair. Hand built to a very high standard in the Hepplewhite style. It has a shield back with a pierced fretwork splat, and tapering square legs. Very well crafted with deeply moulded contours to the back and frame.
Very good condition throughout. The joints are all tight and it has a newly upholstered drop in seat in a soft green fabric.
Excellent colour and patination. Wax finish.
There has been an old repair to the joint of one front leg. Properly done and commensurate with the age of the chair.
