19th.c. Library Bookcase By Edwards & Roberts.
Very smart late 19th.c. walnut library bookcase by the celebrated English cabinet makers Edwards & Roberts c.1890. In two pieces with a three door glazed bookcase top fitted with adjustable shelves over a three door cupboard base with shelves and three drawers in the waist. In solid walnut with a moulded cornice, fluted detail to the uprights and horizontal elements, turned feet and beautifully carved upper panels to the cupboard doors. Original decorative brass handles and hinges. Walnut panelled sides and mahogany drawer linings. Clearly stamped for Edwards and Roberts on one of the drawer fronts. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Keys supplied.
