Early 19th.c. mahogany secretaire chest of drawers c.1820. Top two drawers are a dummy front which slides and folds open to make a good sized desk with a tooled leather writing surface and a fitted interior of pigeon holes and nine small stationery drawers. Solid mahogany top with thumb moulded edges. With three long drawers of graduated depth below the bureau. Cockbeaded drawer fronts with quality brass handles. Shaped apron and feet at the front and sides. Solid mahogany sides and drawer linings throughout. Compact size, excellent colour and condition, fitted with a new leather skiver, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Desk key supplied.
