This rare 19th century gilt tooled leather stationery box is from Northern Italy and is in the shape of a Georgian cutlery boxes. The leather depicts horsemen and dogs in a hunting scene out in the countryside, with houses and flour mills in the distance. The handle is a molded brass handle the interior is lined with a damask fabric in greens and browns. There is a working lock with the original key.
