Narrow early 20th.c. French semainier chest of drawers c.1920. So called because it has seven drawers, one for each day of the week, ideal for clothes, accessories or even filing. Just 26″ wide original and beautifully figured rose marble top with shaped and moulded edge. Over seven serpentine fronted drawers with symmetrically arranged kingwood veneers, inlaid floral detail and original ormolu handles. Rounded corners and serpentine sides also veneered in kingwood. Shaped apron and legs. Ormolu mounts to the shoulders and feet. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
