This is an exceptional antique triple wardrobe. A Scottish, satinwood dressing cupboard with mirror by Taylor & Sons of Edinburgh, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890.

Striking craftsmanship and figuring for the grandest of bedrooms
Displaying a desirable aged patin and in superb antique order
Satinwood stocks present excellently, with fine grain interest
Light, warm caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish

Arranged as a three door wardrobe, with large dressing mirror to centre
On the left, a generous hanging space over a deep linen drawer
Quality brass fittings to the wardrobe section, with several hooks and hanging rail
Opening the right-hand door reveals a suite of three slides over three drawers

Quality carving decorates the scroll pediment crown and door fascia
In fine order, the bevelled mirror plate presents a clear, bright reflection
Maker's marks present for John Taylor & Sons, Cabinet Makers, Edinburgh
Raised upon a plinth foot with a shaped front apron
