Set of eight medieval style oak and tapestry dining chairs c.1930. Solid oak frames with high backs and sprung seats all retaining their original tapestry covers woven after the great series of medieval Flemish tapestries known as ‘The Lady & The Unicorn’. Upholstered as four pairs (the designs mirrored left and right) with The Lady on the backrests and the seats each featuring a lion and a unicorn. Finished with large brass studs. Raised on carved and turned front legs and feet, joined with H stretchers. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
