8 to 10 seater French extending country table

Lovely 19th century French Louis xv style "drawer" leaf extending dining table or would be a great kitchen table too.
Good size as the table will seat 8 with the leaves shut, but by pulling the leaves out from under the top, you can then seat 10 or possibly 12 if you don't mind being cosy!
The table top is panelled, rather than the later c20th models which tend to be parquet tops. Made in fruitwood and with a scalloped edge and the leaves are in a pitch pine with a matching scallop edge to match. Great carved frame too with a good colour tone and beeswax finish.
The table does have some age related marks, but on a table such as this, more of a country feel, the age marks look right so I have left them and just waxed over to give a lovely deep glow.
The table does have a good clearance from the floor, so there is leg room, but if you are concerned it is no problem for the raise the table a little for you. Do get in touch to discuss if required ( but a standard chair with a standard human sitting on it will be fine! ).
Measuring:
29 3/4” or 75.5 high
33” or 84cm wide
103” or 261cm length with leaves drawn out
67” or 170cm leaves stowed underneath
Kneehole height 22 1/2” or 57cm Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
I can arrange delivery to you, whether you are within the UK or require an international delivery service, please do get in touch…as a mainland UK guide, a delivery for something around the size of a chest of drawers within approx 150 miles will be £75 to you, but if you if you are in Scotland, Wales, Ireland or Cornwall please get in touch to confirm delivery costs!
