9CT Gold Hunter Pocket Watch Forrest London


A gentleman's 9CT Gold Hunter Cased Pocket Watch by John Forrest London.
The 9 carat solid gold hunter case is English made. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "FT", alongside "9" and ".375" for 9 carat gold, the Chester town mark and date letter "N" for 1913/14. The case has the initials of the original owner engraved on the front cover. The case is in good condition but does have a few minor indents.
The white enamel dial is in good condition, it has the hours in Roman numerals and a sub seconds dial at six o'clock. It is signed by the maker "John Forrest, London" and also "Chronometer Maker to the Admiralty".
The English Lever Fusee movement is in working order, key wind and key set with the key provided. It is complete with dust cover and signed by the maker.
The watch measures 53mm in diameter (across the case, excluding the winding crown). The weight is 130.7g
