A fully hallmarked antique gold locket necklace which dates to 1910. Both sides of the locket are embellished with florid acanthus leaves and forget-me-not flowers. A heart shaped cartouche completes the deeply symbolic imagery. Acanthus leaves symbolise longevity. Forget-me-not flowers represent true love and respect. This piece was assayed (tested for purity) at Birmingham in 1910. The hinge and catch hinges work perfectly. Super condition!
