A lovely ring, with five garnets mounted into star cut-outs in symmetrical arrangement and set in a 9ct gold band. Clearly hallmarked on the inside of the band, this lovely ring is a UK size N, and just under a US size 7.

Garnets were popular in early Greek and Roman times and the very name derives from Latin. With their lovely red colour it is unsurprising that they have long represented love, friendship and protection. In modern times they are deemed to help with confidence and energy, and bring health benefits by flushing toxins and improving circulation. It is the birthstone for January
