9ct Ruby and Opal Brooch

Approximate dimensions: 4cm x 2.3cm, weight 4.7 grams.
The date letter is impossible to read so it is difficult to be precise about its age but I estimate it is mid to late 20th century.
The pin is also 9ct yellow gold and has a safety catch.
The opals display a good spread of colour which changes in the light.
The rubies are bright and well matched.
A very eye catching brooch.
