A 12" Philips Library globe, in the Georgian style and standing on a mahogany tripod base with cabriole legs and pad feet. The globe rests in a brass meridian ring and is surround by a horizon with calendar and Zodiac details and bearing the Philips label. The Globe can be accurately dated as the paper gores originally denoted "Iran" as "Persia" with both names appearing on it and "Iran" being a later correction, meaning the globe dates from 1935. In good and original condition. 660mm high and 430mm diameter. English.
