A 17th Century Joined Oak Wainscot Chair


Measuring approximately 43 1/2" x 23" x 22" (height, width, depth) and with a seat height of 16 1/2"

A characteristic Yorkshire fireside chair raised on block and baluster turned legs adjoined by periphoral stretchers.
The foliate carved crest headrest flanked by scrolled ears, the back panel decorated with carved lozenge and fluttering pennant-like terminals. The later seat flanked by shaped and downswept arms with attractive scroll ends.
Rich dark oak patina
This chair is sold in good, solid state with numerous old repairs and wear commensurate with age.
