A very pretty Japanese Kodansu ( curiosity cabinet) Meiji period. The cabinet is decorated with a crane, branches with leaves and blossom and with two (possibly) ivory small tablets also painted with flowers and leaves. The inner section has two drawers flanked by six small drawers with two drawers above all above a large bottom drawer. The top lifts up to show four open sections and two lidded sections. There has been some restoration but very sympathetically carried out. Sadly the key is missing.
