Dating to the beginning of the 20th century, this superb French solid oak double bed is in good sturdy condition and stands on traditional escargot feet.
The head and foot boards are constructed with mortise and tenon joints and each have 3 fielded panels with decorative moulding and relief carving.
The side rails bolt in to the head and foot boards to give a very firm and secure fixing. This bed also comes with 2 part slatted base.
This is a super bed which would fit well in any setting, traditional or modern.
The bed has been cleaned and polished with 3 coats of wax giving a warm patination.
This bed will take a modern standard (4 foot 6 inch) double mattress and measures to the outside
57 inches wide
79 inches long
40 inch high head board
28 inch high foot board

For larger items shipping will be carried out by a fully insured and tracked specialist courier who will aim to deliver your item within 14 days of cleared funds but please allow up to 21 days for outlying areas.
Please note that this is a one man service to the ground floor. If required you can upgrade by contacting the courier direct after receiving the consignment tracking number .
When the item is booked in with the courier you will receive from us an email with tracking number along with the couriers details. They will contact you within 7-10 days to arrange a day and 2 hour time slot for the delivery of you item.
If you prefer we will gladly work and liaise with a courier of your choice.
