A French 17th Century Oak Box Settle

The Settle has 3 intricately carved back panels and a further 3 at the bottom, the seat opens to a large storage box beneath

The bench is a real French country piece with well worn smooth arms and a good patina

All in all this is piece is in fair condition considering its great age there are old repairs as you would expect, it has been attacked by wood worm, this has been treated but it has left scars on the back and floor
The settle is 36” high at the back and 62” wide, it is 18” deep
