This is a really beautiful 19th century French marble pedestal with good quality bronze mounts dating from around 1870. The red griotte marble columns have a really wonderful rich colour and fabulous figured grain and the fine quality bronze mounts have cast acanthus leaf detail around the base and a fabulous Ionic column capital to the top.

A really handsome showpiece with a wonderful antique colour and patina to this rare polished marble.

The column measures 129 cms in height and is 22cms by 22 cms square at the base.
The platform (top surface) measures 23 cms square.
