A Georgian 5 Plank Oak Coffer

As you can see, this piece has been upholstered with a deeply buttoned leather cushion
The chest is made in solid Oak, the back has been made using period oak from another piece of antique furniture this is either a very old alteration or it may be original
The chest is good and sound, it has carrying handles and strap hinges, the leather is faded but sound with a good patina
This is an old piece it has a good colour and is in satisfactory condition for its years

The coffer is 45” long, 17” deep and 24” high
