A History of English Furniture by Percy McQuoid

This is an original, complete set of 'The History of English Furniture' by Percy McQuoid, which is still a valuable reference book for cabinet makers and antique dealers today. Published from 1904 - 1908, there are four books in the set, with gilt lettering on the spines and fronts.
The Age of Oak
The Age of Walnut
The Age of Mahogany
The Age of Satinwood
The covers are slightly faded, but in good condition apart from a little fraying at the top and bottom of the spines. Internally, it is obvious that the books have been well read. There are some loose and repaired pages in each of the books and the edges of the pages are rather wavy and discoloured with age. Still an eminently readable set of books which would be a useful addition to any library.
The publishers of the first three books are Lawrence and Bullen Limited, while the Age of Satinwood was published by The Caxton Publishing Company Limited. The books have a nameplate on the inside covers bearing the name 'Hotspur, 14 Lowndes Street, London.
Further photographs can be supplied on request.
The books measure approximately Height 39cm Width 30cm Depth 3cm
