A Large Canvas Dome top Marriage Chest on Stand

This is a bright and colourful piece, the chest is made in pine and covered in a Fire Red Canvas with brass stud decoration including the initials DB, we can only guess to whom they refer, the interior is lined in black and white fabric
The chest has carrying handles and a pair of small peg like supports which transform it into a desirable piece of free standing storage antique furniture, the chest originates from 19th Century Europe
This is an old piece and has some signs of wear but it is very usable, it is 48” long, 24” deep, 26” high on its stand and 19” standing on the floor
