A wonderful joined oak wainscot fire-side chair, generous in proportion and plenteous with charm, probably originating from the North Yorkshire region.

Measuring approximately 44" x 23" x 28" (height, width, depth) with a seat height of 17"

With rich dark patina throughout and including a quite incredible raked back allowing for extremely comfortable repose.
Raised on turned forelegs adjoined by periphoral stretchers,the later seat flanked by superb shaped and downswept arms. The attractive carved top rail over a large fielded and carved back support.

This chair has had numerous old repairs over it's long life and is now offered for sale in very good restored condition....all joints re-pegged etc
