A LINE FOR YOU from. A young sailor boy posting a letter.
Amazing to think this card was posted 112 years ago !
The letterbox is the Hexagonal penfold design which was the standard type between the mid 1860s through to 1879. Originally these were green in colour, but by 1879 they were all red.
Date of the postmark is 14 Dec 1907. Posted in Colne, Lancashire.
The stamp is King Edward VII (1901-1910).

The postcard is supplied in a plastic sleeve with a blank greetings card with a photowindow + envelope so you can send it as your own unique greetings card, be it for a birthday, valentines or any special occasion or celebration.

They are also a lovely bit of social history, if it isn't blank you often get to see what people were writing to each other over a century ago.
