A fascinating and stunning pair of adjustable students’ lamps in 19th Century style, 20th Century. Each with an oil reservoir cast as a fish with twin burner spouts beneath a shade cast as a scallop shell. The vertical shafts, which allow for adjustable height, each hung with four implements on chains (oil bucket, wick trim and snuff), above circular bases cast with scallop shells, on three foliate cast feet. Intricate and beautiful.
