A Pair of Superbly Carved 17th Century Oak Panels
These carved panels are from a 17th Century piece of antique furniture, one of the panels is older 16th Century and the later one is a 17th Century copy of it, the panels came from an Oak settle probably of French origin.
The subjects are a Man and his Lady, obviously people of great importance and the piece of antique furniture would have been a wedding gift.
The panels are in original condition and have been treated for wood worm
The 16th Century panel is 47” wide x 20” high and 2” thick, the 17th Century panel is 42” wide x 19” high and 1” thick
