This gorgeous pair of Tole Peinte chestnut urns and covers are in Regency style and painted with still life of flowers and gilt foliage on black. There are signs inside the urns that they have indeed been used for hot chestnuts at some time. They are in good condition for their age which is thought to be early 19th century and English.
