A Rare Faux Malachite Papier Mache Box.
An unusual faux malachite papier mache box with brass mounts in the gothic style. Possibly by the firm of Alsager and Neville who created the green malachite finish in 1862. One side folds down to allow stationery to be removed without opening the lid. Some restoration. Please enquire for full condition report. 22xm x 13cm x 7.5cm.
