A Stunning West Wales Pine Box Settle
A beautiful Welsh Pine Farmhouse Box Settle of stunning traditional form, in lovely condition with perfect proportions. This wonderful settle was made for the village pub in Rhydowen in the mid Teifi Valley in the early 1800s and took pride of place next to the fireplace for over 200 years.
Displaying highly sought after pale colour and soft unpolished surface, displaying wonderful grain throughout. Having a gently sloping back this settle is very comfortable indeed.
A much sought after piece of Welsh country furniture this settle is both strong and stable and suitable for daily use and provides excellent storage.
Pale colour Welsh settles like this one are incredibly hard to find, especially as pretty as this one with such perfectly comfortable proportions.
Maximum Length = 141cm. Maximum Height = 113cm. Seat Height = 48cm. Seat Depth = 43cm. Max Overall depth (from wall to front) = 57cm and 64cm to the front of the arms.
