For sale today we have this rare pottery figure by the Compton Potters' Art Guild. A gorgeous piece of Arts & Crafts pottery to a design by Mary Seton Watts. St Michael the Archangel is depicted wearing full plate mail armour with his flaming sword in his right hand pointing downwards while his left hand holds the scales of justice above his breast plate, all beautifully framed by his angels wings. A nicely potted example that has been painted extremely well with further gilt highlights to his halo. Measures 8 " tall x 4 1/4 " across. Bears an impressed Compton "PAG" stamp to the underside.
