A Superbly Decorated Poker Work Cupboard
This is a very unusual piece, it is extensively decorated with a type of carving known as Pokerwork, this is done with a very hot tools
This piece is the most highly decorated piece I have ever come across, every inch from the cornice to the plinth at the bottom is carved in pokerwork, even the fronts of the shelved are carved
The cabinet is signed and dated on the interior of the cupboard door with studs it is a tall narrow shape with three fixed shelves it comes with its own key.
The cabinet is in excellent condition but the back may have been replaced
